- USDA Forest Service – Bridge Ratings, Rehabilitation and Design - Open End Contracts throughout Region 8 (Southern United States)
Mercado Consultants has inspected over 400 bridges throughout Region 8. The services included Biennial, Routine and Condition Inspection as well as load rating update and report preparation. The Inspection Department Team worked closely with Survey and the Civil/Structural Design Team to aid in the rating, reconstruction or rehabilitation of the bridges and roadways. Inter-departmental coordination was required as well as with Forest Service personnel in Arkansas, Virginia, Mississippi, Georgia, North and South Carolina, Florida, Tennessee and Alabama.
- US-ACE Biennial Bridge Inspections
Mercado Consultants, Inc. aided in the performance of the Biennial Bridge Inspections, load rating updates and report preparation for the US Army Corps of Engineers (US-ACE). The project included inspections in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, New York and Maryland and at Forts Campbell, Leavenworth, Bragg and Riley. Mercado Consultants provided bridge inspection and evaluation services on a variety of structure types including timber, concrete and steel bridges.
