Mercado Consultants' primary task as Construction Managers and Inspectors is to represent the interests of the owner throughout all phases of the project by providing organization, project planning, scheduling, coordination and supervisory roles.  We have a thorough understanding of construction practices, testing protocols and management. Mercado has provided construction management and inspection services to WMATA, the State of Maryland (MSHA, MDGS), the District of Columbia, Prince George's County, Montgomery County and the City of Baltimore.

Our inspectors take responsibility for the successful completion of all activities related to the construction of the assigned projects. We participate in the formulation of construction policies as well as direct the documentation and implementation through the construction phases of the projects. Mercado takes on the overall administration, technical direction, coordination and direct line responsibilities of both in-the-field construction and home office activities.

Mercado Consultants has been providing construction management services to the Dulles Metrorail project since 2006.  Duties have included reviewing and coordinating utility tasks for the development of comprehensive utility plans for the Pre-Final and Design-Build phases of the project.  We also provide Quality Control and oversight for the on-going sequence of construction to avoid potential disturbance conflicts to the existing and proposed usage of the utilities. We provide construction management of proposed utilities during various phases of construction, thereby improving cost efficiency and shortening construction times.
